Delete your Amen Scroll account
Last updated 21 August 2026
This page is for Amen Scroll, the scripture feed app by [DEVELOPER LEGAL ENTITY]. You can delete your account and its data here without reinstalling the app. Deletion removes the full account record; it is not a deactivation.
First: your subscription is separate
Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Billing is handled by Apple or Google and continues until you cancel it with them. Cancel first:
- Apple: apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions
- Google Play: play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions
Step-by-step cancellation instructions are on the Support page.
How to delete your account
In the app
- Open Amen Scroll and go to the Me tab.
- Open Settings, then Account.
- Tap Delete account and confirm. The app will remind you about your subscription before it proceeds.
From the web, without the app
Email us from the address associated with your account:
[email protected] with the subject "Delete my account"
We verify that the request comes from the account's email address, then complete the deletion and confirm it to you by reply. If you signed in with Google or Apple, write from the email tied to that sign-in. A signed-in web deletion flow is planned; until it ships, this emailed request is the web deletion path and is handled with the same effect as in-app deletion.
What is deleted
- Your account record and email address
- Sign-in identifiers (Google, Apple, or email code) and device identifiers
- Your scripture reading history, reading position, streak, Amens, and private notes
- Your preferences, reminder settings, and usage events tied to your account
Deletion is completed within 30 days of a verified request.
What is retained, and why
- Your prayers and voices are anonymized, not erased. Public prayer wall posts and Voices you published are detached from your identity: your name and account link are removed and the post remains, unattributed. We do this because other people have prayed over and replied to those posts, and removing them would tear their threads apart. If you want specific posts fully removed rather than anonymized, say so in your deletion email and we will remove the posts you list.
- Subscription ledger records (store transaction records without your reading data) are retained for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Server logs age out within 90 days.
Full detail on retention is in the Privacy Policy. Questions before you decide: [email protected].
